Lake of the Woods Golf & Pro-Shop

Considered the prize of the community, the 18-hole PGA course runs through the center of the neighborhood, with no adjoining fairways. The course is 71 par, and designed with sand traps, water hazards, and a fair amount of slopes. 4 tees are available at each hole, allowing accommodation for all levels of play. USGA as well as local rules govern all play, and maintenance is maintained is comprehensive and is performed year-round in order to keep the course in the upmost playing condition.

The Pro Shop opens half an hour prior to tee time, and carries clubs as well as apparel, and other accessories. Starting times will vary depending on the time of year. Reservations for tee times are allowed to be made up to 7 days in advance. Proper attire is required, as well as soft spikes. Those that are not dressed in proper attire will not be allowed to play. This includes any guests, and it is the responsibility of members to ensure that they are familiar with all rules of the course.

The courses Medical Flag Policy permits those golfers that have a physical handicap to use the golf carts off of the initial cart paths. A handicap-parking permit that has been issued by the Virginia DMV must be presented in order to receive a medical flag. Staff members of the Pro Shop can provide assistance to members with establishing handicaps over the computer, but must be done at the Pro Shop.
